Kristopher Neil "Kris" Allen (born June 21, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas, and the winner of the eighth season of American Idol.[1] Prior to Idol, he self-released a 2007 album entitled Brand New Shoes.[2][3]
Allen's Idol coronation song, "No Boundaries" and his version of "Heartless" both charted within the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Allen's post-Idol self-titled album was released on November 17, 2009, through Jive Records. The album debuted at #11 on the U.S. Billboard 200 shifting over 80,000 copies. The album's lead single, "Live Like We're Dying", was released on September 21, 2009, and has so far peaked at #23 in the U.S.

This emotional connection makes him a real musician who is not afraid to disply his feelings in public.
In addition to this, his great guitar playing makes for a great acoustic set that engages his fans all around the world. His love for his wife and family makes him even more attractive as a musician and tht's why Kris Allen is great ! -

He is also a talented musician, able to change a song's arrangements and making is his uniquely his own. All that, combined with his personality and likeability, is why I love Kris, because he just acts like himself and does not put on a persona. -
by Jolene 1 month agoHe's HOT, charming and a GREATTTTTT MUSICIAN. He writes songs of his own, plays the guitar and sings marvelously. No one ever hates him. He's just the atypical guy-next-door. He's a musician who make lots of sense in his lyrics and compel you to wonder over the meaning behind them. (: I LOVE KRIS ALLEN!
