Kristopher Neil "Kris" Allen (born June 21, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas, and the winner of the eighth season of American Idol.[1] Prior to Idol, he self-released a 2007 album entitled Brand New Shoes.[2][3]
Allen's Idol coronation song, "No Boundaries" and his version of "Heartless" both charted within the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Allen's post-Idol self-titled album was released on November 17, 2009, through Jive Records. The album debuted at #11 on the U.S. Billboard 200 shifting over 80,000 copies. The album's lead single, "Live Like We're Dying", was released on September 21, 2009, and has so far peaked at #23 in the U.S.

by Rachel 2 years agoKris Allen is an amazing musician. He posesses such talent that when he performs on stage the audience can feel the message of his songs even if its just through the television. This emotional connection makes him a real musician who is not afraid to disply his feelings in public.
In addition to this, his great guitar playing makes for a great acoustic set that engages his fans all around the world. His love for his wife and family makes him even more attractive as a musician and tht's why Kris Allen is great ! -

by Sherlyn 2 years agoKris has many endearing qualities, such as being humble, passionate in his music, honest and many others. He is also a talented musician, able to change a song's arrangements and making is his uniquely his own. All that, combined with his personality and likeability, is why I love Kris, because he just acts like himself and does not put on a persona. -
by Jolene 2 years agoHe's HOT, charming and a GREATTTTTT MUSICIAN. He writes songs of his own, plays the guitar and sings marvelously. No one ever hates him. He's just the atypical guy-next-door. He's a musician who make lots of sense in his lyrics and compel you to wonder over the meaning behind them. (: I LOVE KRIS ALLEN!
