The outdoor nature of the venue makes the acoustics slightly less appealing compared to indoor venues. However, if you're not particular, it will suit you fine.

Timbre which originally made a name for itself because of its live music has flourished in its foodie business too. It was its thin crust pizza that first propelled them into limelight, they have a wide variety of other delicacies now on their menu.

However, due to the outdoor nature of the place, the beer turns stale pretty fast, one minus point for the venue. Also, all drinks ordered during happy hour has to be served latest at 930pm, not the best deal for massive beer drinkers on a budget.

Ambience:

Situated at the Substation Garden, the refreshing henna and hovering leafy fronds create a rustic tranquility where one can reminisce the good old days when things were less complicated and peaceful. The teak furnishings complement the setting of the place making the whole experience just lovely and surreal. With the Singapore Management University (SMU) city campus just opposite, we see the younger crowd blending in perfectly.
