The house band, Jive Talkin', is made up of a strong line-up, spicing up the evening with its vibrant and funky repertoire of pop, rock and jazz. They entertain Tuesday - Sunday from 10.30pm.

Food & Drinks:

The menu is designed by Consultant Chef Karl Dobler, who has extensive experience in Modern Australian cuisine and has worked in renowned restaurants in Switzerland, Austria, Australia and Singapore. Guests can expect Australian-inspired specialities bursting with seasonal ingredients and sparkling flavours.

Signature appetisers include the fragrant Roasted butternut pumpkin soup flavoured with coconut; intensely-flavoured Thai style beef salad with tangy lime, chilli and sesame dressing; and the hearty Crispy Blueswimmer Crabcake on Mango and Waterchestnut Salsa.

Veal Cheek and Kidney PieMust-try main courses include a comforting Down Under steak and kidney pie cooked with dark beer and topped with a puff pastry dome; generously-portioned Roast rack of lamb served on parmesan potato and fine beans with rosemary sauce; and tender Paperbark smoked Scottish salmon on Desiree mash, asparagus and lemonmyrtle hollandaise.

To end the meal, the Soft centre Pavlova with mixed fruit and passionfruit curd is highly recommended.

With regards to its beer, The Pump Room Brewery is located onsite at The Pump Room Clarke Quay. This alows the consumer to experience our beer at its freshest. All of The Pump Room’s beers are unfiltered, unpasturised, and have no added chemicals or flavours. Giving you the consumer a 100% natural, fresh, flavourful glass of beer everytime.

The 4 resident handcrafted brews are as follows:
The Pump Room Lager - Golden, crisp, clean and easy drinking
Scottish Ale - Hardy, roasted malt characters with a slightly sweet finish
India Pale Ale - Copper coloured, strong hops aroma, malty flavour
Wheat Ale - Pure white head, cloudy body and full of character

Ambience:

What distinguishes this nightspot from the others is that it has a cozy ambience that is both chic and sophisticated. Step inside and you will immediately feel at ease. The live band, Jive Talkin', plays a good mix of jazz, pop and rock music, and you can even make a request for your favorite song and groove along to the beat of the music.

The interior is simultaneously tropical and contemporary, with the generous use of teak giving a soft look. A breathtaking 5000 pieces of hand-ground mirror tiles, with intricately carved circles line the walls, adding a disco ball effect. In addition, the ever-changing colour of the white fibre-glass hanging from the ceiling is reminiscent of a tropical rainstorm, and the unique showerhead lights over the bar are another reminder of the wet tropical theme.
