Live4MusiC Xmas Music Fest Day 1 (Feat: Sixology, Swiftblade, Ridge)
Ridge

Ridge was formed in 2006 when Simon Lai(guitars) met Aqram(vocals), Ken(drums) and Danks(Guitars) at the School of Rock competition. They decided to do something together and got Sultan(bass) to head for a jamm session and see where the journey would take them. With that one practice session everyone clicked well and decided to take it a further step by joining competitions. They wanted to join a competition to put their band to a test and emerged 1st runner-ups for JamX competition which they only had 3 weeks to plan. They also joined bigger and more renowned competitions and clinched well deserved prizes.
As time went by, Ridge was gigging
immensely,writing,practicing and even had a few-line up changes with Danks leaving, and introducing Shaun Ng(keys and vocals) and Ben Chua(guitars) in. Ridge, although largely Rock, has been experimenting lately with different sounds and genres and will showcase it to its loyal fans who have been waiting for them and also to any music lover who will definitely dig this groovy rockers. This is one band worth watching. This is Ridge.
Swiftblade (10pm)
Swiftblade was formed in End 2006 by the duo, whose compositions matched like lock and key. Both had the driven desire for the same commitment, that is to achieve glory from self-satisfaction more than fame and money. Nothing cuts the heart deeper than the fact that we know that we overcome our ultimate weaknesses and dreams. Kept to the path without finding faults to the outcome and taste the risk of an unpredicatable future. Life without andrenaline is a life without a soul.
Swiftblade was then joined by May, 'Voice of Dreams', adding a spiritual touch to the band's dimension. Bernard, 'Wings' of the band, soon joined along, gathering flight for a mega blast off.
Sixology (Acoustic)
Formed in the middle of 2008 in Eusoff Hall, the band has since broken out of NUS and moved on to bigger stages. In December 2008, Sixology was crowned Grand Prix Yamaha Asian Beats Champion in the Singapore leg of the annual regional competition as they were also awarded Best Original Composition and Best Keyboardist. They then went on to represent Singapore in Hong Kong in February 2009 at the Grand Finals of the competition.
Comprising 6 international members who vary in musical taste and influences, Sixology aims to serve their own concoction of music. While their current tracks sound grounded in alternative rock, this young band is ever-willing and open to experimenting with their music.
This Xmas, a 3 piece set-up from Sixology will be playing an acoustic set to satisfy your cravings!
