Carey in wheelchair after injury

By Yuda

Mariah Carey is relying on her assistants to push her around in a wheelchair after injuring her ankle following a fall onstage in Singapore at the weekend.

The Hero hitmaker was performing at the 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday when she tripped over in high heels and landed on her bottom.

Her dancers helped her back to her feet and she laughed off the incident before continuing the rest of the show barefoot.

But Carey was in more pain at the gig than she let on and she was snapped arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday (28Sep10) in a wheelchair.

And now the singer's representative Cindi Berger tells E! News, "Mariah twisted her ankle in Singapore and should have packed more sensible shoes, but she doesn't have any."

AMERICAN pop star Adam Lambert took to the Padang last night and wowed more than 20,000 music and race fans who showed up to see him at the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

Taking to the stage at 11.30pm, right after the last qualifying race last night, the flamboyant former American Idol finalist pumped up the glam factor with his live band, choreographed moves and posse of dancers.

Earlier in the afternoon, fellow American rocker Chris Daughtry, also a former American Idol contestant, played at the same stage to a crowd half the size.
