Dave Grohl Vs Glee Round 2

By Yuda

Don’t expect to hear any Foo Fighterssongs sung by the sugar-sweet voices of the ‘Glee’ team anytime soon. Back in March, frontman Dave Grohl spoke out against what he felt was unfair pressure for his band to allow their music to be featured on the hit Fox show, and last Wednesday he reiterated his stance during an appearance on ‘Chelsea Lately.’

“As a musician, you should be able to say no. You should be able to say, ‘No, I don’t want to do your show,’” Grohl told Chelsea.“Why should you have to say, ‘Okay, Glee. Take my song and turn it into a f—ing musical?’”

Grohl isn’t the first rocker to turn down ‘Glee.’ In January, ‘Glee’ co-creator Ryan Murphy asked permission to use a Guns N’ Roses song, but former guitarist Slashpromptly nixed the request, calling the show“worse than ‘Grease.’”

In the same month, Southern rockers Kings of Leon got into their own verbal tiff withMurphy after they denied the show licensing rights. Murphy weighed in on the feud with a simple, “F— you, Kings of Leon. They’re self-centered a–holes.”

In his interview with HandlerGrohl also explained the Foos’ recently released steamy ‘Hot Buns’ video that promotes the band’s upcoming tour. He says he was inspired to make the trucker-inspired video from a real-life experience at a truck stop. “Those are really our butts,” he reveals of the brief nudity in the uncensored version of the clip.

Britney Spears' reaction to Glee tribute show

By Yuda

BRITNEY Spears became the latest singer to be given the Glee treatment and the pop superstar was full of praise for the all-singing, all-dancing TV show.

Writing on Twitter as the show screened on the U.S. west coast, Spears said: "I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!"

Last season's Madonna-themed episode was a ratings success, while buzz has been circulating for weeks around Tuesday's "Britney/Brittany" episode.

The episode opened with teacher Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, trying to prevent his singing group from channeling the sexy pop icon, instead encouraging them to sing adult contemporary music at a McKinley High School Homecoming assembly.

Despite Morrison's attempts, New Directions take to the stage with a sexy cabaret-style of Toxic with Morrison himself joining in.

Spears made two appearances on the show when glee club members envision the pop legend during anesthesia-induced dreams during visits to the local dentist -- a role filled by John Stamos.

"You're really hot ... and your breath smells really good," ditzy cheerleader Brittany (Heather Morris) said when she came face-to-face with the real-life Spears in a dream.

Morris paid tribute to Spears' 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance of I'm a Slave 4 U complete with a live snake, resulting in the singer tweeting: "I know how hard it is to dance with that snake! Nice job...."

The show's creator Ryan Murphy said the episode was designed to show off the skills of Morris -- a former backup dancer for Beyonce Knowles.

Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that he next wants to tackle the songs of Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jackson, while an episode based on the musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show is in the works.

Paramore get the Glee treatment

By Yuda

While the Red Hot Chili Peppers might have a downer on Glee, Paramore certainly don't.

In fact the band's frontwoman Hayley Williams was positively over the moon when she heard the cast's version of her band's hit The Only Exception when the latest episode of the hit TV show aired in the US last night (Wednesday, September 28).

"[I'm] seriously on cloud nine after hearing our song on Glee," she gushed via her Twitter account. "[I'm] so humbled by all of this. Everyone on Glee - you rocked our song! Lea Michele [who plays Rachel Berry in the show] your voice was sick! I love your version more haha!"

The episode is set to air on Channel 4 in the UK over the next few weeks. If you can't wait to hear the track, log on to iTunes where it's currently sitting at number four on the US iTunes singles chart.

'Glee' Sets Off Waterworks with 'Beautiful,' 'House Is Not a Home'

By Lydia

Kurt sings

Instead of asking its cast to pound out "Hello" covers and tributes to Madonna, last night's episode of "Glee" directed its challenge outward: How many times can viewers get misty-eyed in an hour?

Between Mercedes' brief brush with an eating disorder, Finn and Kurt's shifting family dynamics and April Rhodes' (played by returning special guest Kristin Chenoweth) tender and completely platonic moments with Will, tears were pretty much inevitable this week.

Kurt kicked off the waterworks by singing the Burt Bacharach and Hal David-penned "A House Is Not a Home," which was basically his way of telling Finn he wants to start a family.

Mercedes, meanwhile, took on Christina Aguilera's self-empowerment ballad "Beautiful" after deciding that starving herself just to make Sue Sylvester happy wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

The last heartstring-tugging number came courtesy of April Rhodes (Chenoweth), who channeled her inner Broadway diva with a stirring rendition of Diana Ross' "Home." Can't wait for April to return and unveil that historic, all-white version of "The Wiz."

Glee-ful Jennifer Lopez

By Lydia

j lo pic.jpg
Jennifer Lopez plans to take a guest slot on the musical comedy series 'Glee' because she's such a ''huge fan''.

Jennifer Lopez has 'offered' herself up for a guest role on 'Glee'.

The singer-and-actress - who stars in new romantic comedy movie 'The Back-up Plan' - admitted she plans to take on more funny roles in the future and has been in talks with 'Glee' producers about having a cameo on the show.

She said: 'I was like, 'Yeah, yeah whatever. I'm a huge fan.' Whenever you want... I'm good. I kind of offered myself up.'

When asked by US TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres about when fans could expect to see her in the musical drama, Jennifer admitted the only issue was timing.

She said: 'I sat down with show creator Ryan Murphy and we talked me doing something on 'Glee'. We want to. We want to do it. They have it all mapped out for the next like eight episodes, whatever is airing right now. So he's like, 'Let's wait and do it really right when you do come on.' '

If she does appear on the show, it is thought the 40-year-old star would play a cafeteria lady at fictional school McKinley High, with her character being given a makeover from Chris Colfer's character Kurt Hummel.
